Really enjoyed working with Roads Scholars. The office staff was very courteous and responsive, the crew arrived on time (and called to confirm they were on the way). Smog, Ace, Marc and Julio were all very professional, personable and careful with our belongings. I'd say the exercised the right amount of "hustle" vs caution. And, I have to say this is the most fun I've had with movers. It's refreshing to work with folks who enjoy their job and work hard to meet expectations at the same time! Also, our job came in on budget. I'd definitely recommend this company and especially this crew.

Jeremy and Sean were professional, friendly and knew what they were doing. Blew me away when they loaded my heavy dish packs on their backs and RAN out front door! They protected my doorways and floors at both locations and always double checked which pieces were going where.
I hired Road Scholars Moving & Storage to move me and to my new home. The movers got there as scheduled, were professional, moved me in less time than estimated. This company is the best ever. They are very reasonable and if you hire cheaper, that is what you will get. I trust these guys so much, I am hiring them for another permanent move in August. Thanks Road Scholars!!!
We had Road Scholars move us a few months ago. The appointment process was flawless. I thought the terms of service were clear and that the service would be excellent based on my initial interactions. The guys showed up on time. They were nice and easy to be around. They worked hard. But, unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company. (I'm using my brother's email account to write this since I don't have a gmail account.) The problem started when only two of the three movers showed up. There was no attempt to get a replacement. Ok fine, I was happy to help them. So, we slogged away and got the truck loaded. Unfortunately they were not careful about heavier items when moving them which resulted in significant scuff marks and chipped wooden furniture (that was not cheap and we'd saved up for). They got grease on the carpet. They didn't set a mirrored shelf upright properly and it fell over and gouged the wall (about 6" long and 1" deep, and failed to apologize for it). They dented the top of our chest freezer. They didn't cover nice wood furniture when it was in the truck (even though they had blankets available) and when unloading I saw that it had ridden in the truck leaned up against the side (metal) rail resulting in scuff marks. The "leader" spent time standing in the truck while the other guy and I brought stuff out. The company charged me for the third guy and I had to have them correct the charge. One of the guys left his keys and I took them to the office (near my work fortunately). They did refund a very small portion (compared to the damage) of the moving charge for the damaged goods. However, I would rather have no damaged goods and that they had taken the time and care to properly move and pack things. So, would I use them again? Never. If you do use them, make sure you're on top of the process and make them cover stuff and be careful. Again, the guys were very nice and pleasant but they were careless and obviously didn't care a whole lot about our goods.
The total cost came out less than the initial estimate which saved me money! Do yourself a favor and use Road Scholars (Jeremy and Sean specifically) on your next move. They took the stress out of move day! Thank you so much!
This is the way moving should be. It was convenient to be able to list out my items online for a ballpark of what my move was going to cost. Once here, they took a quick tour to access what was being moved and double checked on certain items. I have some really heavy pieces. I thought my walls would be torn up, or movers would flat out say no way, or double charge.
The most professional moving company that I've ever dealt with, and I was a traveling nurse for years!
